On 8 March 2026, Siena will once again become the beating heart of international cycling as 8,500 riders take on the legendary Gran Fondo Strade Bianche—the non‑pro race that lets everyday cyclists experience the same magic, dust, and adrenaline as the pros.
This year’s edition is already sold out, a testament to the event’s growing global appeal. Riders can choose between two iconic routes:
- Gran Fondo – 137.7 km, featuring 10 gravel sectors and 2,000 m of elevation gain
- Medio Fondo – 87 km, with 6 gravel sectors and 1,350 m of elevation gain
Both courses start from the Fortezza Medicea and finish in the breathtaking Piazza del Campo, offering a finish line worthy of a classic.
A major update for 2026: staggered start times—7:30 for the Medio Fondo and 9:30 for the Gran Fondo—designed to reduce congestion and improve safety for all participants .
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply soaking in the Tuscan landscapes, this is more than a race—it’s a journey through rolling hills, white gravel roads, and the soul of cycling itself.
